A must see heritage park is Freedom park in Tshwane which resides on a 52 hectare site on Salvokop.

The Park is a “monument to human rights, dignity, and freedom” and commemorates people of all races who lost their lives in the main eight conflicts that ruptured South African society over the centuries.

The Park was opened in 2013 by then President Kgalema Motlanthe.

The main elements of the Park are the//lopo Museum, Isivivane, Garden of Remembrance (697m long with names set in 2.5 hectares), the Hall of eternal flame, and the 200 steel reeds, reaching a height of 32m.
