24 Dec Graaff- Reinet – St James Anglican Church
St James Anglican Church in Graaff-Reinet was designed in 1848 and completed in 1850. Later additions were the Lady chapel in1893 and later the rectory. The church was designed by Architect Sophia Gray the wife of Bishop Gray.
The church is in regular use today and has many fine examples of stained glass and manu commemorative plaques, many military in genre.
