26 Dec Marakele National Park in Limpopo

Marakele a world of landscapes
MarakeleNational Park (formerlyKransberg National Park) in Limpopo Province was established in 1994 in theWaterberg region.
The park has a wide range of habitat due to the dramatic mountain range that rises 1000 metres from the park lowlands. The park which has elephant and lion is also a birders paradise as this gallery illustrates, and significantly it has a large vulture colony that breed on the sheer cliff faces. Needless to say klipspringers abound.
The park has 4*4 eco drives and a drive up the mountain will reward you with endless horizons. The accomodation varies from camp sites, Bontle Rest Camp and tented self catering accomodation on the dam (Tlopi). There is also the Motswere Guest Cottage.
This malaria free park is well worth a visit (or two).
