Anyone wanting an experience of incredible beauty should consider chartering a flight from Durban down the Wild Coast to Port St Johns. Better still take a week out and fly to Umngazi Bungalows , leaving Virginia airport and landing at the table top airstrip at Port St Johns. The approach going in to the strip is pure adrenalin with majestic views thrown in.

For the elephant addicts a visit to Addo will be especially rewarding. The park is about an hours drive from Port Elizebeth, ( 72kms), and as such is very convenient for fly-in visitors who can self drive or make arrangements with local operators. The reserve has very comfortable self catering chalets and for those who wish to be catered for the main camp has a good restuarant.
16 Aug Old Transkei Towns and Villages
A trip through the old Transkei which now forms part of the Eastern Cape Province always evokes many emotions. Transkei became independant in 1976 under the rule of Chief Matanzima as part of the S.A. Governments attempt to segregate the country.
25 Jun Port Alfred – Eastern Cape
Port Alfred was established in the 1820's by British Settlers in the Albany County. The town lies on the mouth of the Kowie River and the harbour was established in the 1840's which allowed tall ships to berth in the mouth.

The 284 square kilometer National Park, was proclaimed in 1937, with the objective of saving the endangered Mountain Zebra. A lot smaller then the park has been added to over the years, and many species reintroduced.
